They also lived a short time in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, where Lawrence completed his B. S. degree, and Chapel Hill, North Carolina, where he earned his M. S. at the University of North Carolina. Born to them were a daughter, Lanita, and two sons, Larry and John.72

Lawrence and Mary Bradley were leaders of churches of Christ in Durham, North Carolina, Clearview, Murfreesboro, Goodlettsville, and White House, Tennessee. Mary is now an active member at the Waycross Church of Christ. They were married 40 years before his death in 1984.

Mary taught at Clearview School when they were first married and in later years was a substitute teacher, homebound teacher, Gallup pollster, and homemaker. At the age eighty, she continues in the job she’s had for over 20 years as the office manager at John’s law firm, runs her cattle farm, is active in local politics, and hosts regularly in her home numerous friends, family, and acquaintances. Mary resides at Ajalon Acres, the Clearview home that she and Lawrence built together in 1972.
