101 Tips for Creating Your Own Legacy Cover

Memories, Mysteries, and Musings

by Mary Ralph Bradley

Mary Onezima Ralph Bradley has been a poet and writer all her life in the tradition of her father, Luther D. Ralph, who wrote the weekly column “A Tale of Two Towns” by “Billy the Goat” for the Goodlettsville Gazette. Just as he wrote about the daily activities of his life ad reminisced about the “old day,” so her poems reflect her life, her memories, and her faith.

From the many letters Mary Ralph Bradley has written to the editors of The Tennessean, she has received over twenty three-star designations. The three stars indicate the best letter from the hundreds of editorial board letters received on any given day. This recognition also includes an invitation to an annual banquet to honor outstanding editorial letter writers. Through these opinion letters she has reached and influenced the many readers of The Tennessean.

In this book are the writings that we accumulated to publish in honor of her eightieth birthday on April 18, 2003. We are well aware that she has written many other items that are not included, but this is a good representation of her work. As you read through these selections, you can reminisce with her, learn her views, or examine your own life and faith through her eyes.
