The North German Connection

by Allen W. Bernard

The North German Connection is the history and genealogy of two German immigrants, Bernard Duesman and Johann Ahlers who braved the hazards and perils of ocean travel, and arrived in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1846 and 1848 respectively. Shortly thereafter, they moved to the fertile farmlands of Mercer County, Ohio, living near the village of St. Henry.
